Founded on the principles of St. Francis de Sales, our institution has spent over three decades nurturing young minds with compassion, courage, and curiosity. From a modest beginning with a handful of students, De Sales Academy has grown into one of the most respected ICSE/ISC institutions in South India.

1994
Foundation & First Batch

De Sales Academy opened its doors in Bangalore with 120 students and a founding faculty of 14 dedicated teachers. The school's first ICSE results made headlines across the district.

1999
ISC Section Established

Classes XI and XII were introduced under the ISC board, completing the full Pre-KG to Class XII spectrum and opening doors to premier universities for our graduates.

2005
Tamil Nadu Campus Inauguration

The second campus in Tamil Nadu was inaugurated, expanding the De Sales family and bringing the same quality of education to a broader community.

2012
CISCE Best School Award

Awarded the prestigious Best School Award by CISCE for outstanding academic performance and holistic student development across five consecutive years.

2018
Digital Campus Initiative

Full rollout of smart classrooms, digital library resources, and campus-wide fibre connectivity across both campuses, transforming learning for 5,000+ students.

The Man Who Lit the Torch

Rev. Fr. Thomas Xavier arrived in Bangalore in 1993 with a vision that education could transform not just individual lives, but entire communities. Armed with nothing but faith, determination, and a deep love for young people, he founded De Sales Academy on a modest plot of land in the city's outskirts.

His philosophy was simple: treat every child as a unique gift, teach with patience, and never compromise on the values of honesty and hard work. That philosophy endures in every classroom, every teacher, and every student at De Sales Academy today.
